For Hadiza Isah Mohd, founder of Amnaj Beauty House in Kaduna, beauty goes far beyond appearance. It is rooted in health, education, and the power of natural solutions. With a background in biology and ongoing doctoral studies in science education, she takes a research-driven approach to creating hair and skincare products using locally sourced ingredients.

However, like many women entrepreneurs, translating this vision into structured and scalable growth required more than passion. It required the right support system.

That shift came through the Shecluded We Elevate Program.

Before joining the program, Hadiza already had access to digital tools such as a Google account and design platforms. The challenge was not access, but effective use. Through We Elevate, she gained the clarity and structure needed to apply these tools intentionally, aligning her daily activities with clear business goals and improving how she engaged with her customers.

One of the most significant changes was the revival of her WhatsApp customer group. What was once a passive platform became an active community where she shared weekly tips, educated customers, and maintained consistent engagement beyond physical salon visits. This shift strengthened customer relationships and built trust and loyalty.

With increased confidence and direction, Hadiza expanded her business model beyond in-salon services. She began producing natural hair care products for home use, allowing customers to access her solutions more conveniently. This also opened up a new revenue stream. Demand quickly grew beyond Kaduna, with customers from cities like Abuja requesting her products, an early sign of scalability.

Visibility was another major area of growth. By optimizing her Google Business profile and improving her online presence, Hadiza made it easier for potential customers to discover her business. This led to increased awareness, more inquiries, and higher foot traffic to her salon.

Now, she is focused on building for scale. She is working towards expanding production, distributing her products through shops and supermarkets, and securing certifications such as NAFDAC approval. To support this growth, she is also investing in further training in cosmetology.

Beyond business, Hadiza is passionate about advocacy. She uses her platform to promote natural hair care and raise awareness about the risks of chemical products, particularly skin bleaching among young people. She is also exploring ways to expand her impact into broader youth-focused health education, including personal and menstrual hygiene.

Through the We Elevate community, Hadiza has connected with like-minded entrepreneurs and leveraged partnerships to amplify her impact, already reaching over 1,000 young people.

Today, she is not just running a salon. She is building a scalable business and a platform for education, empowerment, and sustainable change. Her journey reflects the true impact of the Shecluded We Elevate Program, equipping women with the tools, structure, and community to move from potential to lasting growth.
