For Magdalyn Oyinkansola Coker, food has always been connected to something bigger: helping families live healthier lives.
As the founder of Maduksfood, Magdalyn is building a nutrition-focused business that develops natural and fortified food products for infants from six months old, as well as specially formulated products for lactating mothers and maternal wellness.
She had the passion and a clear vision for the business. What she needed was the right knowledge and structure to turn that vision into a stronger, more sustainable enterprise.
That was where the Shecluded Incubator Program came in.
Finding Structure in the Business
Before joining the programme, Magdalyn faced some of the challenges that many growing entrepreneurs encounter.
She had a good understanding of her products, but positioning the brand, identifying her ideal customers, pitching the business, and building stronger customer relationships were areas where she needed more confidence and direction.
The Incubator Program gave her the opportunity to work on these areas.
Through the business training sessions, Magdalyn learned how to define her target customer more clearly and communicate what makes Maduksfood valuable. She also gained a better understanding of how to position the brand in a competitive market.
These lessons changed the way she approached her business.

Building Better Financial Habits
One of Magdalyn’s biggest takeaways from the programme was learning to manage her business finances more intentionally.
She learned the importance of separating personal and business finances, a step that can easily be overlooked when running a small business.
Today, Maduksfood has a dedicated business bank account. This gives Magdalyn a clearer view of the business’s finances and makes it easier to track its income and expenses.
For her, this was more than opening a new account. It was a step towards running Maduksfood with greater structure and accountability.
Turning Learning Into Action
The programme also encouraged Magdalyn to take important steps towards formalising and growing her business.
She went on to register Maduksfood and is now working towards obtaining NAFDAC registration, which will be an important milestone as the business prepares for wider distribution.
Her financial management has also improved, allowing her to increase production while steadily growing her customer base.
Building Towards the Future
For Magdalyn, the training sessions were one of the most valuable parts of the Shecluded experience.
She was an active participant throughout the programme and looked forward to each session because of the practical knowledge she gained. More importantly, she continues to apply those lessons to Maduksfood.
Her journey is still unfolding.
With regulatory approval ahead, new markets to explore, and a growing customer base, Magdalyn is focused on building Maduksfood into a trusted nutrition brand that supports healthier families.
Her story is a reminder of what can happen when a promising business is given access to the right knowledge, structure, and support.
Sometimes, the next stage of growth begins with having someone show you how to build a stronger foundation.
