Building a successful agribusiness takes more than producing quality food. It requires strong systems, a clear brand, and the ability to seize new opportunities.

For Oluwaseun Adekemi Adesina, founder of Cassie Foods, the vision has always been bigger than selling snacks. She is committed to creating value across the cassava value chain, from farming and processing to distribution. Through products like cassava chips and prawn crackers, Cassie Foods provides healthy and affordable snacks to consumers while supporting local agriculture.

Like many entrepreneurs, however, turning that vision into sustainable growth came with challenges.

The Challenges Before Shecluded

Before joining the CFYE x Shecluded Incubator, Cassie Foods was still in its early growth stage.

The business had a solid foundation, but marketing, funding, and business positioning remained major obstacles. Oluwaseun regularly searched for grant opportunities, yet she had not fully developed the skills needed to present her business in a way that attracted support.

She also discovered an important gap she had not recognized before: personal branding.

That realization became a turning point.

Learning Beyond Business

Throughout the incubator, Oluwaseun gained practical knowledge that transformed both her business and her leadership.

The personal branding sessions helped her understand that investors, partners, and customers often connect with the founder before they connect with the business. She learned how to communicate her vision clearly and confidently, making it easier for others to understand and support her mission.

The program also provided a supportive community where entrepreneurs encouraged one another, shared experiences, and stayed accountable to their goals.

That network became just as valuable as the training itself.

Turning Knowledge Into Results

One of the biggest highlights of the program came during a live pitch session.

The opportunity allowed Oluwaseun to practise presenting her business before an audience. While the first grant opportunity was relatively small, the experience strengthened her confidence and sharpened her presentation skills.

The results came quickly.

Within one week, she applied what she had learned and successfully secured a grant. The achievement showed how improved storytelling, confidence, and preparation can open bigger opportunities.

Building a Business That Can Scale

The transformation was not limited to funding.

Cassie Foods also began moving away from a business model that depended heavily on the founder. Instead, Oluwaseun started building systems that allow responsibilities to be delegated more effectively.

This shift created a stronger foundation for long-term growth.

Rather than managing every stage of production herself, she is now developing a business that can operate efficiently and continue growing as demand increases.

Leading With a Clear Vision

The program also changed how Oluwaseun approaches leadership.

One lesson stood out above the rest: every business needs a clear and visible vision.

By creating a structured vision board, she aligned her team around shared goals and made it easier for everyone to understand where the business is heading.

This clarity has strengthened decision-making and created greater focus within the company.

A Business Ready for the Future

Today, Cassie Foods is better positioned for growth than ever before.

The business has stronger systems, clearer branding, improved leadership, and greater access to funding opportunities. More importantly, Oluwaseun now has the confidence to pursue ambitious goals with a stronger strategy.

Looking back on her journey, she describes Shecluded as more than a business support organisation. To her, it is a community where entrepreneurs find knowledge, direction, meaningful connections, and the confidence to grow.

Her story is a reminder that the right support can help early-stage businesses move from potential to progress. With the right guidance, entrepreneurs can build businesses that create immediate results while laying the foundation for lasting impact.
