For Christiana Akindele, founder of Kuba Hair Clinic, entrepreneurship became personal after experiencing postpartum alopecia following the birth of her first child. What started as a personal search for solutions soon evolved into a business dedicated to helping women restore both their hair and confidence through holistic hair care support.
Kuba Hair Clinic focuses on treating different forms of alopecia by combining quality hair products with lifestyle guidance, wellness support, and tailored hair care routines for women navigating hair loss challenges.
Before joining the WE-Elevate Program, Christiana faced one of the most difficult moments in her business journey. Her salon and spa space, with over ₦20 million invested into it, was demolished, leaving her without a physical location, staff, or the immediate funds to rebuild.
Despite the setback, she continued operating from home, relying mainly on WhatsApp referrals and one-on-one sales to keep the business running.

Everything began to shift after she discovered Shecluded through Instagram and became part of the WE-Elevate community. Through WE-Elevate Cohort 1, Digital Ads Expert, and other Shecluded learning opportunities, Christiana gained practical knowledge, business support, and a community that helped her regain confidence in her business journey.
A timely grant received through the Shecluded community also helped her improve business operations by acquiring tools that reduced manual processes and increased productivity, positioning Kuba Hair Clinic for future growth.
Through the program, she also restructured backend operations, re-strategized her advertising efforts, and gained a better understanding of how to position her products beyond referrals alone.
Today, Kuba Hair Clinic continues to grow its hair and scalp wellness community through webinars, educational content, and customer support sessions designed to help women better manage their hair health.
For Christiana, WE-Elevate provided more than funding and training. It provided community, clarity, and the encouragement to keep building even after major setbacks.
